Today in New Kent County Traffic Court, my client was charged with reckless driving(46.2-862) for going 60 mph in a 35 zone. This was a serious charge in that it was 25 mph over the speed limit and a class 1 misdemeanor.

Fortunately, I was able to present a case in which the judge allowed for my clients charge to be reduced to a speeding ticket of 54/35. By doing so, her charge was reduced from a misdemeanor to an infraction; therefore it will not show up on her criminal record.
